Victims of bullying have low commitment to work
The victims of bullying are intimidated and insulted at the workplace. They start doubting their own abilities. There is a toxic atmosphere at the workplace and they start to despise coming to work every morning. Would anybody want to work at a place where they are humiliated? Obviously not.
The victims lose a sense of belonging to the workplace and there is an extremely low commitment to work. This is extremely bad news for employers because the most productive employees tend to feel a sense of belonging to the workplace, look forward to coming to work every single day, and are desperate for the organization to succeed. They must ensure that employees are protected from bullying.
